Couples Counselling
During couples counselling, you and your partner will talk through and explore problems you’re both facing together with your therapist. Sometimes your therapist might suggest meeting with you and your partner individually initially but the majority of therapy is carried out together with your partner. The therapist is not there to place blame, take sides or mediate difficult decisions. Your therapist will facilitate a safe space for all members to open up and express themselves individually. They will reflect and highlight the strengths in your relationship alongside what might be causing you distress to address any communication difficulties, repairing work or strategies for healthier relational intimacy.
