Anger can be a healthy and useful protective emotional response. However, if you find it impossible to let go of things/ scenarios and people that have triggered anger in you, you may be experiencing irrational and toxic anger. The psychological and physiological effects or prolonged anger can, like stress, be harmful for the body as well as impact our thought processes and relationships with others. While we cannot eliminate the causes of anger, through therapy we can learn management techniques to reduce our reactions to this powerful emotion as well as seek to understand some of the underlying triggers. We have systemic practitioners that can support you to consider the impact of anger on others around you or how you are affected by relational conflict in order to consider alternative dynamics.
