About me
I’m an experienced psychological therapist (dramatherapist) offering a confidential space where you can feel respected, understood and valued while working towards the meaningful changes you want in your life.
I work with adults and children, in English or Greek, tailoring the sessions to meet each individual’s needs. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, LGBTQIA+ affirming and anti-oppressive.
I work with individuals, couples, families, organisations and groups and I can help with different issues, including:
My approach
In the sessions, whether you/your child choose to focus on using talking or creative methods (and the decision is always yours, I only offer suggestions), creativity, imagination and the body are at the core of the work; I believe that they can give access to our psyche’s depths and inner wisdom. My approach is focused on allowing you to re-connect with the resilient parts of yourself/your child that can offer guidance and support.
Training and experience
I hold an MA in Drama and Movement Therapy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (University of London) and have undertaken additional specialised training in Systemic Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am also a qualified Creative Supervisor, trained at the London Centre of Psychodrama. I am fully registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a senior accredited member of the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth).
With 8 years of clinical experience, I’ve worked extensively with diverse populations including adults and children of all ages who were:
I have presented my work at several conferences and I have written a chapter in an edited book on dramatherapy. Alongside these, I have been working as a visiting lecturer, teaching dramatherapy modules in MA and BA university courses and supervising trainee therapists in placement. I have also been offering mental health training to other professionals (social workers, foster carers, accommodation providers, teachers and other therapists) specialised in the psychosocial experience of separated children.
Contact & fees
You can get in touch and arrange a free 15-min intro phone call to discuss if and how we could work together. Then you can choose to have a first session or not. Only after that first session, I ask you whether you want to continue and commit to regular appointments. If you do, we will arrange to meet regularly (usually on a weekly basis).
I also offer a small number of concessions with lower fees than the above.
