About me
Are you feeling misunderstood, anxious or depressed? Frustrated, undermined or angry in your work or personal relationships? I am an experienced BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist, and I can help you to understand difficult thoughts and feelings and to lift the emotional weights and shadows in your life. From within a secure and supportive therapeutic relationship, we can stimulate and disrupt your thought processes and relationship patterns leading to greater insight and emotional growth.
I have a background in nursing which underpins a deep understanding of health and wellbeing as a dynamic concept: our sense of identity and feelings of belonging are shaped by many factors including mind-body connections and social and cultural contexts. I have lived between France and the UK for over 20 years and speak French.
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, University of London, and I have counselling experience within NHS therapy services, bereavement services, and community counselling settings.
Issues I work with:
I offer time-limited or open-ended therapy depending on your needs. Weekly sessions of 50 minutes are the norm. I offer a free 15-minute conversation with a view to arranging an initial consultation in which we would explore your therapy needs and expectations more fully. My standard fee is £70.
