ESZTER IVAN

Embodied, Trauma-informed Dance & Movement Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor (PhD, UKCP, ADMPUK)

About Me

My approach brings together the body, mind, and relational experience, creating a safe and compassionate space where you can slow down, become curious about what you are experiencing, and explore new possibilities for change.

I believe that our bodies are as important a source of knowledge and support as our minds. Our feelings, experiences, and relationships are not only something we think about – they are also felt and expressed through our bodies.

In our sessions, alongside talking, we may explore bodily sensations, movement, images, breath, and other forms of expression. There is no expectation to dance, and no previous movement experience is needed.

I work with adults who may be seeking support with:
  • Feeling disconnected from their body or from themselves.
  • Experiencing anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm.
  • Living with persistent physical or somatic symptoms.
  • Processing trauma or other difficult or overwhelming experiences.
  • Finding meaning after the loss of someone important.
  • Navigating difficulties in personal or professional relationships.
  • Managing periods of transition, change, or uncertainty.
  • Developing a deeper understanding of themselves and improving their overall quality of life.
My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique experience.
